4 September: Polly and Mikey Reunited!
One week after pulling the last bones out of the "goo", I had Mikey all cleaned up and ready to be reunited with his owner Polly. Also in attendance was one of Mikey's veterinarians, Dr. Heidi Jorden. We spent several hours examining the bones and discussing my preliminary findings of pathologies relative to Mikey's medical history.
The process of examining all aspects of Mikey's skeleton, i.e., discovering and learning about any abnormalities or pathologies present in the bones is on-going. Knowing most of Mikey's history with respect to environment, training, competition level, behavior and medical issues as provided by Polly and Mikey's veterinarians is tremendously important and greatly appreciated!
The image below (right) is just a "teaser" of what Mikey has to tell. Check back for updates and please continue to follow the Equus-Soma Facebook page!
