  • Have Bones - Will Travel

           The Petey Presentations originated with small groups coming to see his bones in my garage in Aiken SC.  It didn't take long for the word to spread and soon I was packing Petey in trunks and traveling to venues in South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia and Maine.
           Accompanied by interesting bones from other horses (yes, I dug those up too), Petey and I travel to private or boarding farms where we give a formal presentation to small groups. We often set up as a vendor (of information) at selected equestrian competitions and we are available for educational events held at local veterinary clinics.

  • Our favorite venues are with internationally known clinicians where Petey & Friends provide the anatomical visual aids.

     

  • Equine Osteology & Anatomy Presentations - Specifics

    Requirements:

    • Open space in a covered area (arena or room) with space for 6 or more folding tables and easels, as well as a seating area for participants.
    • I provide my own tables, easels and canopy (if needed for outdoors).
    • Host and/or participants provide chairs.
    • The space should be reasonably accessable for my truck for unloading/loading the trunks. 

    Presentation Format:

    • I'll start with a 1.5-2 hr. presentation which will cover the equine skeleton and associated pathologies.
    • The rest of the time is open for questions and hands-on fun with the bones.
    • If possilbe, having a quiet horse nearby is great for showing the anatomical locations of the bones.

  • Presentation Costs

    • Local venues outside of the Learning Center - $150/day USD
    • Venues that require long distance travel & overnight - $150-250/day USD for the presentation plus cost of accommodation & meals for 1 - 2 people.** .
